MOSCOW, November 17. /TASS/. Moscow’s Basmanny Court has issued an arrest warrant in absentia for the Ukrainian neo-Nazi, opera singer Todor Panovsky (designated in Russia as a terrorist and extremist) who has been redeclared internationally wanted on the charge of an attack on the Russian consulate-general in Odessa in 2019. His in-absentia arrest warrant has taken force, according to court documents read by TASS.
“To select a measure of restriction against Todor Y. Panovsky accused of committing a crime provided for in Part 2 of Article 360 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (an attack on persons or entities that are internationally protected, launched for provoking a war or complication of international relations) in the form of detention. To set the term of arrest for the accused of two months from the moment of detention on Russian territory or from the moment of extradition to Russian territory,” according to the ruling.
The crime stipulated by the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation incriminated to Panovsky carries a punishment of 12-20 years in jail.
